How it works

Your roommate, matched.
Not gambled.

Right now, incoming freshmen pay Instagram pages to post their bio, then scroll for months hoping a stranger likes them back. Dormeet does the opposite. It brings the right people to you.

The algorithm, in plain English

Dormeet learns what matters to you. Night owl or early bird, neat or relaxed, homebody or social. It quietly ranks every verified student at your school by how well you'd actually live together. The more you swipe, the sharper it gets.

A note from the founder

I came to Virginia Tech from Monterrey, Mexico. I had to find a roommate and a place to live in a town I had never seen, before I even arrived, knowing no one. The options were a portal that assigns you a stranger and pages with thousands of posts. So I built the thing I needed: one verified place for your campus, where you find your people before day one.

It will always be free for students.
